This
project's structure consists of five main components :
CENTRAL HUB PORT :
It preempts the west eastern corner of East Port-Said area.. Its location corresponds with geographical natural
conditions. It extends besides Suez Canal branch on 11 Km length and 2 Km width and its space is 22.5 km2 about
5400 Feddan about 10% of Port-Said project area. It will have two marine canals the first is northern to Mediterranean
sea and the second is western on Suez Canal branch and it is planned to handle about three millions container yearly
in 2007.. Now work is running therefore works of marine work design and establishment, waves block and dredging
is carrying out by companies union of (Jan De No
ul, Bouscaleis, Hyaundai, and Balast Nedham).
INDUSTRIAL FREE ZONE :
The
southern
part of East Port-Said area was chosen for it because the soil of this area
is better than the northern and to benefit of International High Road, It
lies in the south of hub port. It includes industrial areas heavy, Medium
and Small enterprises adding to industrial services area and its total area
is 87,6 km2.
ADMINISTRATIVE AREA :
It is on the suggested extension of industrial area and between them a green area to consider the environmental
factor. It includes (Egyptian international marine companies, branches of airlines, banks and insurance companies
and others). It represents about 2% of project area whereas its area is 4,7 km2.
INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AREA :
In eastern north of the project area and it is distinguished with sandy spreads on Mediterranean sea shore. The
graduation of the continental quay and its far distance of pollution and its nearness of lakes for fishing activity
facilitation and of importance transportation axe (international high road) and it presents 3% of the project and
it faces sea shore on the long of 4 km. And it includes tourism services entertainment activities centers and its
area 5.7 km2.
FISH FARMS AND LAKES :
It occupies the widest place of the area because of geographical determinant of East Port-Said northern area because
it is salt land covered by sea water and some of it are sabkhas (salina) besides Mellaha and Kalaa lakes and its
scale area is 99,5 km2
